Breeding and raising Golden Retrievers may have been a dream shared between my husband and myself since we've been married, but for me, it's actually been a dream since childhood…
      My mom had a kennel of her own where she bred beautiful English Creams; Keepsake Kennels of Clare, MI, she's now been retired for several years, but she spent much time learning the breed and adapting. My childhood farm was filled with exciting friends: from cattle, to goats, to chickens, and of course beautiful frolicking goldens. This is where I grew up and discovered my love for the golden retriever. I learned a lot by helping deliver puppies in the middle of the night to assisting with the new puppy owners 8 weeks later.

     Being a product of such a life I knew I wanted that for my own future some day. Rose, our one and only “Golden Girl” at the moment, actually comes from the lineage of my mothers retired kennel. There's so much pride in knowing the family business continues.
